Healthy Homes Coalition Operations During the COVID-19 Outbreak in Kent County - Update March 23, 2020

posted:

After much consideration, research, and conversations with staff and organizational leadership, the Healthy Homes Coalition took proactive measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 in our community. On Friday, March 13, 2020, we suspended home visiting and community outreach activities until Monday, April 14, 2020 or further notice. All group meetings have been canceled.

With updated information and out of concern for the health and safety of our community, Healthy Homes is taking further action today.  Our office will be closed and staff will be working remotely until further notice.

We are committing to serving the community through these changes. You can still reach staff telephonically (616-241-3300), through email, and online.  You can expect regular updates on our work to be posted to our social media and website, and to be shared by weekly email. While we are all spending more time at home, we will provide you information on how to stay healthy at home and the wide impact healthy housing has on our community.

Please keep yourself and your family safe. Please do what you can to avoid activities that contribute to the spread of COVID-19. Our elders, high-risk neighbors, and health care workers are counting on everyone's help.

Sincerely,

Paul Haan
Executive Director
