Find Lead-Safe Contractors

The US-EPA has launched a portal on its website where homeowners can find contractors who have been trained and certified in how to safely make repairs so that children are not exposed to lead hazards.  The searchable database can be accessed by clicking here.

Contractors whose names appear in the EPA Certified Renovator Firm database are those who have completed the training and certification required by the new federal Renovation, Repair and Painting rule, which is effective April 22, 2010.  This training will help contractors learn and use work practices that control lead dust in the home.
