The City of Grand Rapids and Get the Lead Out! partners have been awarded $4.6 million in renewal funding to continue fixing homes to protect children from lead poisoning.  The Healthy Homes Coalition will receive approximately $100,000 each year for the next three years to support its CLEARCorps program, an important outreach strategy that educates parents and homesowners and connects them to resources.

Lead-Safe Work Practices (September 8 & 15)


Grand Rapids - EPA-approved curriculum teaches homeowners, landlords, maintenance staff, and remodelers how to work lead-safe. (must attend both dates).

This EPA approved curriculum teaches homeowners, landlords, maintenance staff, and remodelers how to work lead-safe. The class is eight hours.

Home Repair Services offers training in Grand Rapids. Classes are held at Home Repair Services, 1100 South Division in Grand Rapids. Prior registration required. Mondays, September 8 & 15, 6:00pm - 10:00pm

Cost: $30.00 materials fee.  Fee waived for eligible families registered with Home Repair Services or property owners enrolled in the City of Grand Rapids' Get the Lead Out! Lead Hazard Control program.
